Friedrich Lütze (1923-2014) founded Lütze GmbH in Weinstadt, near Stuttgart, in 1958. Since then, electronic and electrotechnical components and system solutions for automation and high technology for railway engineering have been designed and produced here.

With revolutionary innovations and international patents, the then still young company was already making a name for itself. With the launch of the LSC system for wiring control cabinets in 1972, control cabinet manufacturers could for the first time save up to 25 percent more space than with conventional layouts. In the early 1960s, LÜTZE was among the first suppliers in the world to introduce its highly flexible cables.

Since the company's founding more than 50 years ago, the company philosophy has been to be among the leading suppliers in the automation industry with highly innovative products. LÜTZE invests far more than the industry average in research and development.
